Y1 and Y2 visit to Fairlight Hall 'Field to Fork' workshop

Dear Parents and Carers

Y1 and Y2 visit to Fairlight Hall ‘Field to Fork’ Workshop

Thursday 28th September

Children in Y1 and Y2 have been invited to attend a ‘Field to Fork’ day at Fairlight Hall, on Thursday 28th September.  The event, which is being sponsored by Fairlight Hall, will involve various activities and viewing stations, introducing the children to different aspects of country life, including livestock rearing, vegetable growing, gardening, and bee keeping.

Children will need to wear school uniform but bring with them some old jogging bottoms/trousers to put in their bag and also old shoes/wellingtons if the weather is wet.  A warm, waterproof coat should also be worn.   Please also provide a packed lunch for the day.  All children in Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a free school meal so if you would like a packed lunch provided, please indicate below.

The trip will take place during the school day and the coach will be leaving for Fairlight Hall at 9 am. We are asking parents for £3.50 per child to cover the costs of the coach.   Please ensure your child is in school for 8.50 am to allow time for morning registration.   Normal end of day arrangements apply.

Yours sincerely

Y1/Y2 Teaching staff
