Year 6 classes see Safety in Action!

Cambridge and Oxford classes visited the Hastings Fire Station last week as part of the ‘Safety in Action’ events organized by East Sussex Fire and Rescue and other emergency services and agencies.  These events are to help encourage children to recognise  hazards and take action to keep themselves and others safe.

Simulated scenarios were created such as fire safety, road safety, water safety, first aid, railway, internet safety and electrical safety and allows children to think about safe responses to a variety of different situations.  The project is aimed at year 6 children who are about to make the step to secondary school and greater independence.   Take a look at what they got up to! see Safety in Action!
