Y4 pupils were invited to a free ‘Survival Skills’ day at Mallydam Wood. They had the opportunity to learn about survival in the wild by taking part in various activities in the woods.
‘We made hats out of leaves and paper for camouflage. The best thing was making a fire with flint and steel!’ (William Blakeley)
‘It was great fun making a shelter out of sticks and leaves to help us stay warm and dry. I really enjoyed searching for the survival kits and learning what all the things were for.’ (Warrisha Miah)
