Working Ways Ambassadors

Our School Ambassadors attended the latest ‘Working Ways’ meeting, organised by the Hastings Education Futures Trust.  This aim of these sessions is to discover similarities and differences between the world of work and the world of education.  This week, our Ambassadors were looking at the world of Finance and visited Lloyds and Nat West.

‘We met at South Coast College where we were given refreshments before visiting the banks.  We were allowed to go behind the scenes and speak to the Branch Managers, asking them about what it was like to work in a bank and what qualifications you needed.’

‘I loved learning about bank security.  If someone tries to steal any money, orange paint will be spilt onto the thief so that Police can identify them.’  Leo Gasson

‘I had no idea how a bank worked behind the scenes, it was really interesting seeing all the offices and especially the safe which had huge bolts to work it.’  Ruby Morton Davage
