Friday 30 September 2022

Ark Little Ridge Primary Academy has been praised by Ofsted and told it has the potential to receive an outstanding rating at its next inspection.

Inspectors visited the school from 12 to 13 July, and its report was published today. It described the school as feeling ‘like another family’, where children ‘feel safe’. It went on to praise Year 6 pupils, describing them as ‘role models’ who are ‘kind and caring towards each other’. The report said: "Pupils are inspired by each other's successes.

Leadership was recognised as a high performing and unified team. Where all staff have “equally ambitious expectations for all pupils, including pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)." The school’s high-quality curriculum was commended and, in particular, that pupils “are supported into becoming informed, confident and passionate readers."

Kate Woolley, Principal said: "I am delighted about the comments made in our report, which showed there was enough evidence that we could be judged outstanding. Ark Little Ridge is a place where children are respectful and responsible. Their love of learning is infectious, and we strive to keep that thirst going throughout their time with us.

"This report means a lot to us as it recognises all our hard work in giving children the best possible start through education."
