Y3 Nature Walk
Thursday 11 July 2019
To support their Science and Art topic, Year 3 have been focusing on the natural world. To complement this, the children went on a local nature walk. Mrs Lennard said, 'The children really enjoyed being outside and looking at the nature around them.' Here are some of the children's comments:
Ashton: All the trees were blocking the light so we walked through dark, cold passages.
Brooke: Happily next we sketched a picture of the beautiful waterfall and when felt the water it was cold and splashing on the rocks.
Elsa: Then we went to waterfall and drew the plant that we could see. I touched the water which was very cold.
Jude: i thought the Little Roar Gill waterfall was amazing, exciting and astonishing.
Fletcher: Finally we all walked back to the school and spent our time in forest school where we painted, read created collages and created giant insects !
