Y5 VR Space Workshop

Wednesday 14 October
We are pleased to inform you your child’s class will be taking part in a VR Space Workshop on the 14th of October which will be held within the school, during normal school hours. The day workshop offers an unparalleled journey where the entire class simultaneously pilots research vessels around planets and moons, delving deep into the wonders of the solar system. This interactive workshop is designed to ignite curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists and astronaut.

EYFS Trip to Bedgebury Pinetum

Thursday 22 October
We are delighted to offer our children in Reception their first opportunity to go on a school trip on Thursday 22nd October. We will be taking the children by coach to Bedgebury Pinetum where there are wonderful opportunities for us to explore the outdoors, thinking about and using our senses as well as searching for signs of Autumn.
The children will travel by coach after morning registration at 9.15am and will return before the end of the school day. Therefore, usual drop off and collection routines will apply.

Y4 Trip to Canterbury Roman Museum

Wednesday 11 November
We have arranged for Y4 to visit the Canterbury Roman Museum as part of their topic on Romans. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to have an insight into life in Roman Britain. They will be able to explore the remains of an original Roman Town House and investigate and handle real artefacts from Roman Canterbury

We will be travelling by coach, leaving school promptly at 8.30am and will return at approx. 3pm, depending on traffic. Children need to arrive at school by 8.15am promptly.

Y2 Trip to Battle Abbey

Monday 16 November
To support our topic on Kings and Queens, we have arranged to take Y2 children to Battle Abbey. They will also take part in a Tour and Tales Visit where the children will meet a Saxon storyteller and learn about how the dramatic events of 14 October 1066 had such an impact on England.

We will be leaving school via coach at 10am and will return at approximately 3.15pm.

On the day your child will need to wear their school PE kit and a warm waterproof coat, along with comfortable footwear. All children will need a rucksack suitable for carrying their belongings and a spare carrier bag.
