At Ark Little Ridge we provide equitable reading experiences for all pupils, with expert teachers of reading throughout the school. We are committed to providing texts which reflect the diversity of our community and the wider world. We want our children to see reading as a great pleasure – something to be enjoyed, and a gateway to opportunity and success in life.
At Ark Little Ridge Primary Academy, we use the Read Write Inc. phonics program to deliver robust, targeted phonics teaching so that our children will have the best possible start to their reading journey. The partnership between home and school is also fundamental in developing confident readers who can access a world of literature.
